Lake Elementaita Wildlife Sanctuary
Lake Elementaita is a shallow soda lake in the Great Rift Valley, part of the Kenya Lakes System UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located between Lake Naivasha (north) and Lake Nakuru (south), it is a paradise for birdwatchers – hosting thousands of flamingos, great white pelicans, and over 300 migratory bird species. The sanctuary also features the Kikopey Hot Springs, acacia woodlands, and wildlife such as zebras, buffaloes, reedbucks, and elands.
