Ol Tukai Lodge is a classic safari lodge located in the heart of Amboseli National Park, offering some of the most spectacular and uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Surrounded by swamps and acacia woodlands, the lodge is a haven for elephants, buffalo, and over 400 bird species. With 80 rooms, a swimming pool, and a central dining area, Ol Tukai provides a comfortable and authentic safari experience.

Overview

Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the few lodges situated inside Amboseli National Park, which means you can start your game drives immediately without waiting for gate openings. The lodge is named after the Maasai word for “place of many elephants,” and indeed, large herds of elephants roam freely around the property. The lodge has a rich history and has hosted many famous visitors over the decades.

Ol Tukai Lodge is located inside Amboseli National Park, approximately 4 hours’ drive from Nairobi (240 km). It is also accessible by air via Amboseli airstrip (10 minutes’ drive from the lodge).
